Jay Hettinger currently lives in West
Fargo, ND.
My entire life I have lived for the outdoors. When
I was a kid I couldn't wait until
the summer when grandpa and grandma would take us trout
fishing in the Black Hills. Before I was able to hunt
big game my cousin and I would hunt rabbits and squirrels
with our grandpa. Once I was able to get a license we
hunted near Platte, SD and While Lake, SD for deer and
pheasants.
My summers during college, I lived with my brother
Scott, he helped me purchase my first bow. That first
fall of archery season I arrowed a 4x2 whitetail, the
rest is history and I have been exclusively bow hunting
ever since.
In 2000 I was the archery manager for Scheels All Sports
in Mankato, MN. I was married in fall of 2000 and was
able to get my wife Greta involved in bow hunting. We
have been bow hunting together when possible ever since.
We now have two children ages 4 and 11mo and hopefully
they will be joining us on hunts soon. I have been working
for Microsoft since 2002. When I am not hunting I am
spending time with my wife and kids. |
